A Snap, A Set and A Song - Grey

Time once again to link with Thea at A Snap, A Set and A Song for this week's theme of Grey. Stop by her site to see her take - and possibly join us with your own post.

On our recent cruise in the Caribbean, our stop at Castaway Cay in the Bahamas happened on a very grey day indeed, as you can see in the Snap and the Set.

  1. I love the contrast of green and grey in your snap.
Lots of grey in your set, hope you had fun anyway.
I love the Monkees!! Have heard that particular song though. I used to love watching their TV show when I was a kid...Davy was my fave, followed closely by Mike.

Thanks so much for linking. :)

  2. I'm loving your snap - so dramatic!

I'm trying to work out what the Disney characters are on in your set - are they painted on rocks?? I love them anyway! You know, I have not been to the beach once this summer! It's just too hot, and I always go from white to crisp in one fell swoop.

The video for your song choice is a classic! So twee, and those bowl haircuts just kill me! :)

    1. The characters are (from left to right) Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck and Goofy. They are painted on some old iron "things" (for lack of a better word) and the joke is that the sign next to them identifies it as "Mount Rustmore".

Last time we had been to Castaway Cay (July, 2004) it was quite warm, and quite enjoyable. This time, however, it was January (winter) so we had to expect that we could get a cold day - and we did. :-( FWIW - I too burn rather easily and tend to stay out of the sun. I am more of a cold weather person than a hot weather one anyway. Currently it is -3°C here in NYC.

Davy Jones had a long history of performing at DIsney World since he lived not far from there in Florida.
